o Language matters
o Educate yourself
o Be kind
o Listen and ask
o Talk about it

Click here for more information.

How you can help: snap a photo featuring a positive mental health message and post to Twitter or Instagram using #BellLetsTalk on January 25th – for each one, Bell will donate 5 cents to mental health initiatives in Canada.

Please share your positive mental health message in the PADLET available in our student announcements for our school body to see.

One of our students, Alessandra Naccarato, is working toward being a brand ambassador for Wear Your Label.

Wear Your Label started as a simple idea: clothing to create conversations around mental health. Their team members have all experienced mental illness, and united under the common goal of ending the stigma, in style. Our motto? It's okay not to be okay.

For more information about this initiative, please visit: www.wearyourlabel.com

Together, the students and staff at the Virtual Learning Centre can help end the stigma around mental illness.

March 31, 2020 Important School Update

I am confirming the news from the Minister of Education that our school will remain closed until at least May 4, 2020 as part of the provincial effort to stop the spread of the COVID-19.

We have been working with the school board on a plan so that learning can continue while students are at home. Information about the tldsb.ca/homelearning/ plan may be found on the TLDSB website. Information will continue to be added to this page so please check back regularly.

Starting next week we will be bring classes back online in a reduced format in alignment with ministry expectations. We want to be sure that our at home learning plan is as successful for your child as possible.  If your child is not ready to start Virtual Learning Centre classes on Monday please contact me directly at jcadeaumark@virtuallearning.ca to discuss further options. As a reminder students will need a computer with a reliable internet connection.

I know this is a very stressful time for all members of our school community right now - our students, our staff, and their families. Your well-being must continue to be your first priority. Please reach out to myself if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jeremy Cadeau-Mark

Principal

Our Courses

All of our courses are taught by highly qualified Ontario teachers who understand how to blend the power of synchronous, streamed communication with the flexibility of static, anywhere-anytime course content. Students succeed in our program and our attrition rates (under 20%) demonstrate that our program works for most learners.
