TLDSB Strategic Plan
Hello to all those who are connected in any way to Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) – our schools, our staff, our students, our parents/guardians, our agency partners, and other members of our school communities:
We need your input on student achievement as we develop our TLDSB 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. To gather your feedback, we’re using a tool called ThoughtExchange. All of our voices matter, so your participation is crucial and valued.
Use the following link to participate: https://tejoin.com/scroll/199940100
You’ll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (20 to 30 is ideal), and learn what’s important to everyone participating. You can rate as many thoughts as you’d like before moving on to discover where you can see all the thoughts sorted by the average star rating.
Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you’d like to participate and, in fact, we ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on for developing our strategic plan.
Participation will be open until September 30.
If you need technical help, please call ThoughtExchange at 1-800-361-9027 extension 4 or email [email protected].

Once again, our school will be participating in the Terry Fox School challenge! We have taken part in this fundraiser for the last five years and we have raised over $8628.07! Terry once said, “Anything is possible if you try”, so this year, the Terry Fox Run’s theme is “Try like Terry.”
We are challenging students to get out and walk/run/bike/skate/hike/wheel in support of the Terry Fox Foundation and help raise money to support cancer.
On October 8th at 12 pm we would like all participating students to get outside and walk/run/bike/skate/hike/wheel for the challenge.
If you would like to register or donate on behalf of the school please visit our school’s fundraising page. http://www.terryfox.ca/VirtualLearningCentreLindsay
Truth and Reconciliation Week at TLDSB - September 27 - October 1, 2021
The Government of Canada recently passed legislation to make September 30 a federal statutory holiday called the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Recognizing this day is an important step in the reconciliation process, providing an opportunity to remember the legacy of residential schools, and to honour the survivors, their families and communities. We encourage you to take time, through quiet reflection or participation in school and community events, to consider how we as Treaty People can work towards reconciling our past and present and give hope for a better future. An important step in this process is taking the opportunity to learn more about our shared history and the circumstances that shape current issues.
The Virtual Learning Centre is recognizing this important week through opportunities for students and staff to learn, reflect, share, and respond. Students are encouraged and welcome to participate in some or all of these activities during the week. We also recognize that it is important for learning and action to take place throughout the year, and encourage students to share what they have learned with their families and communities.
