Students will be loaded into courses on February 3rd and 4th. Students will receive an email when their courses have been added to their profiles, however, we recommend that they log in throughout the day to canvas to see if their courses have been added. Be sure to check your junk mail.
New and returning students must complete the student guide on the 3rd and 4th. The student guide is an introduction to our school and provides students with a wealth of information. It includes information about how to communicate with the office, support desk for technical issues, VLC email accounts, how to access zoom just to name a few.
All teachers will be sending families an introductory email to students and parents with some general course information, homework expectations and the best way to contact the teacher.
Teachers will be hosting a welcome zoom meeting for students on February 5th.
There will be several meetings held throughout the first week of school by our Student Services teacher, Mrs. Kuypers, welcoming new students and helping them navigate their way through our program.
Meetings are scheduled on:
Wednesday, February 3rd at 2 pm
Thursday, February 4th at 9:15 am
Students only need to attend one meeting – these are optional but recommended. If they cannot make a meeting they can watch the recording that will be posted in the Student Guide.
There will also be a 30 minute drop-in session on Friday, February 5th at 12 pm where students can ask general questions about the program.
Students can find out more details in the Student Guide announcement: “Welcome! From Student Services” when they are placed into the Student Guide course.
Students will be added throughout the week of February 3rd into the Student Guide and their semester 2 course(s). They will receive an email letting them know when they have been added to each course.
